The Logistics Section supports the mission of the Fire District by providing supplies and equipment, facility maintenance, and fleet management.
The Supply Branch procures and issues supplies necessary to maintain all of the fire stations and apparatus. Additionally, it is responsible for the purchase, storage and issuing of uniforms and protective clothing used by the District.
The Fleet Maintenance Branch operates a full service facility for the repair and maintenance of all fire apparatus, support vehicles, and equipment assigned to the Greater Naples Fire Rescue District. In addition, the branch provides contracted Fleet services for the City of Marco Island Fire Rescue.
The Facilities Branch is responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of all fire rescue facilities. This includes painting, minor structural repairs, minor plumbing work, air-conditioning maintenance and repairs, and other work involved in keeping fire stations and other District facilities up and running.
The Information Technologies Branch provides expert computer and network support to the District. This branch is responsible for network and server administration, hardware and software installation and maintenance, development and implementation of data security and confidentiality protocols, and assistance with technical questions.
The Training Branch promotes the improvement of public service through the facilitation of ongoing drills and exercises that reflect the real-life experiences encountered in the field by firefighting crews. The overall mission is to prepare employees to be successful in their careers by providing the tools and the blueprint to succeed at emergency incidents through the administration of training exercises incorporating the best, most current practices of existing regulations and standards.
The Training Branch continually strives to assist its personnel by providing a structured training environment to develop and strengthen essential job skills and insure the workforce is always capable of performing quality public service whenever called upon in a continuing state of readiness. As the Fire Service progresses and changes, the Training Branch aims to advance the workforce to achieve the highest of Industry standards and introduce the newest strategies and techniques as well as advances in equipment and technology as they become available.
