Deputy Chief Sal D’Angelo III began his fire service career in 1994 as a Fire Fighter/EMT. Since then, Deputy Chief D’Angelo has progressed through the ranks and served in various positions up to Fire Chief. Deputy Chief D’Angelo is a dedicated professional, student of the fire service, and scholar, with a passion for leading and mentoring the future Fire Service Leaders.
Deputy Chief D’Angelo possesses multiple State of Florida Certifications, attended courses from the National Fire Academy through the University of Memphis, and holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He is an adjunct professor at Florida Gulf Coast University in the Master of Public Administration program, and has lectured across the country/Puerto Rico on public finance and disaster/emergency management curricula.
During his spare time, Sal enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and working outside in the yard landscaping.
