Greater Naples Fire Rescue District Announces Planning Phase for New Station 26
The Greater Naples Fire Rescue District is pleased to announce that Station 26 has officially moved into the planning phase. The new facility will be located on Parcel 00760160002, at the corner of Tamiami Trail East and Lake Park Boulevard. The site spans approximately 8.75 acres and is intended to serve as a Public Safety Complex designed to enhance emergency services in the area.
The planned facility will accommodate Greater Naples Fire Rescue staff and vehicles, including an Engine, Water Tender, and Brush Truck. In addition, the site will house a Collier County EMS Medic Unit with two personnel, as well as offices for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. The complex will also include space for future expansion, ensuring the District can continue to meet the growing needs of the community.
The Planning and Design phase is expected to take more than a year to complete, followed by approximately one year of construction. While these timelines are subject to change, the District remains committed to providing regular updates as the project progresses.
To keep the community informed and engaged, the Greater Naples Fire Rescue District will post updates and photos on its website as frequently as possible. These updates will provide residents with insight into the planning and construction process, important milestones, and the overall progress of Station 26.
“This project represents a major step forward in strengthening public safety services for our community,” said Deputy Chief Josh Bauer. “We are excited to begin this process and look forward to keeping our residents informed every step of the way.”
