Interim Fire Chief Chris Wolfe began his fire service career in 2002 as a Firefighter/EMT with South Trail Fire District. He subsequently served as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Fire Inspector, Division Chief of Support Services, and Assistant Chief of Administration.

Interim Fire Chief Wolfe has vast experience and knowledge of disaster preparedness and response. He has filled many roles within the Incident Management System serving on the Statewide Emergency Response Committee (SERP). Specifically, he was deployed to the statewide responses to Hurricane Michael, numerous wildfires and the Champlain Tower Building Collapse in Surfside, Florida.

Interim Fire Chief Wolfe obtained his Bachelors Degree of Public Administration from Barry University and his designation as Certified District Manager from Florida State University. Additionally, he has continued his education earning many certifications from Florida State Fire College as well attending multiple courses at the National Fire Academy and the Federal Emergency Management Institute.

Interim Fire Chief Wolfe has served as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Lee County Fire Chief’s Association. He is a member of the Florida Fire Chief’s Association, Statewide Emergency Response Committee serving as Regional and County Coordinator positions.

During his spare time, Chief Wolfe enjoys being with his family, riding his motorcycle and taking cruise vacations.
